RCA

RCAI (Internal Auto Liability Insurance) is a mandatory internal motor third-party liability insurance, valid only on the territory of the Republic of Moldova. The main purpose of this policy is to cover damages caused to third parties (other persons) as a result of a traffic accident caused by the driver of the insured vehicle.

Who must have RCA?

  • Individuals or legal entities owning a vehicle registered in the Republic of Moldova;
  • Individuals or legal entities entering the territory of the Republic of Moldova driving vehicles registered in third countries that do not possess international insurance documents valid in the Republic of Moldova.

What risks does RCA cover?
RCA covers damages caused to other persons (third parties) as a result of a road accident:

  • Material damages (cars, goods, fences, buildings, etc.);
  • Bodily injuries or death of third parties;
  • Medical expenses of affected persons;
  • Loss of income of injured persons;
  • Moral damages.

Important: RCA does not cover damages to your own vehicle – for this, a CASCO policy is necessary.
