Were you involved in an accident?
If your vehicle has been damaged, it is necessary to:
- Immediately notify the police by phone at 112 about the accident and follow the instructions of the Police officer;
- DO NOT LEAVE THE ACCIDENT SCENE without police permission; it may be interpreted as leaving the accident scene or evading investigations and/or the collection of biological samples. Leaving the accident scene without police permission is an offense and is punishable according to legal provisions.
- IMPORTANT: Excerpt from the Road Traffic Regulations approved by Government Decision no. 357 of May 13, 2009:
- Art. 13. Vehicle drivers involved in a road traffic accident resulting only in material damage must immediately notify the police about the accident by phone and, if they have reached a mutual understanding in assessing the circumstances of the accident and if the technical condition of the vehicles allows guaranteeing traffic safety, they are obliged to go, within a maximum of 2 hours, to the nearest police station to draw up the necessary documents, having completed the accident report form attached to the mandatory civil liability insurance policy for motor vehicle owners or, as the case may be, the accident sketch made in advance, which must be signed by those involved in the accident.
Remember or write down the following data about the accident or damage:
- The exact location of the accident, including landmarks and locations such as: - building number in front of which the event occurred, in front of which it occurred (outside localities), exact topography of the place,
- The direction you were driving and the direction the other vehicles involved in the accident were driving,
- Registration numbers of the vehicles involved in the accident,
- Names of the drivers involved in the accident,
- Traffic rules, signs and restrictions applicable in the accident area,
- Possibly the names of eyewitnesses (mandatory in the case of accidents with personal injuries or serious injuries),
- The time the accident or damage occurred.
- If one of the drivers involved in the accident leaves the accident scene or refuses to report to the police, the other driver must provide the police with as many details as possible about the vehicle (type, make, registration number in full or only part of it, etc.) and, if possible, the data of any identified eyewitnesses.
- Within 48 hours of the accident, the insured person must inform the Insurance Company about the accident at phone number: +373 (0)22265700 or by email at: office@donaris.md
- Subsequently, within a reasonable time and without altering the damage picture, the accident participants must report to the CA DONARIS VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP SA territorial representative offices or the Damage Assessment Department:

- working hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 – 16:00, lunch break 12:00 – 13:00
- The insured person must present the following documents to the Insurance Company:
- Copy of the Police Report with the documents related to the report;
- Copies of the RCA insurance policy, driving license, car registration certificate;
- Technical inspection report (valid on the day of the damage);
- Legal entities must also present the issued travel sheet, valid at the time of the accident
- The injured party will present the following documents to the Insurance Company:
- Copy of the Police Report with the documents related to the report;
- Copies of the driver's driving license, car registration certificate;
- Copy of the Technical Inspection Report;
- Copy of the identity card;
- Copy of the power of attorney if applicable;
- Damaged vehicle;
- If the damaged vehicle is not movable - to ensure the insurer's access to examine the vehicle damaged in the accident and/or other damaged goods.
- Legal entities will also present, in addition to the issued travel sheet, valid at the time of the accident, a legal title/power of attorney to represent their interests
