Professional Liability

Insurance that covers the liability of natural and legal persons who carry out legal and qualified professional activities, for damages caused to beneficiaries (clients) during the course of their professional duties.

Professional activity refers to work carried out based on appropriate qualifications obtained through formal education, and performed at a workplace, either regulated by a special law or classified under the Occupation Classifier of the Republic of Moldova. The currently insurable professional activities include:

• Notary
• Judicial Executor
• Legal assistance and consultancy services
• Auditor
• Certification Center
• Insurance intermediaries (insurance agents, insurance brokers, Bancassurance agents)

Subject of the insurance
represents the Insured’s property interests related to their civil liability, under the terms and conditions established by the legislation of the Republic of Moldova, for material damages caused to third parties (clients or potential clients) because of professional insurance intermediation activities carried out in accordance with Moldovan law.

Insured risk 
Liability for material damages caused to third parties (the Insured's clients) because of a professional error committed by the Insured.

What does the insurance cover? 
The Insurer provides coverage if claims are brought against the Insured by third parties, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Moldova, for compensation of losses suffered due to the Insured’s or their employees’ professional errors during the performance of their professional activity.

Insurance period: 
The insurance period is 12 months.
