COMPANY HISTORY

1998 – Foundation of Donaris

Donaris was founded in 1998 with the mission to provide general insurance services tailored to the needs of clients in the Republic of Moldova. From the beginning, the company focused on building a trust-based relationship with its policyholders and offering efficient and affordable financial protection solutions.

2003–2013 – Growth and Expansion

Over the years, Donaris experienced steady growth. Its product portfolio was expanded, strategic partnerships were developed, and the distribution network was strengthened. During this period, the company began modernizing its operations and digitizing internal processes.

2014 – Becoming Part of Vienna Insurance Group

A defining moment in the company’s development came in 2014, when Donaris became a member of Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) – one of the leading insurance groups in Central and Eastern Europe, with over 200 years of history. Joining VIG brought additional guarantees of stability, transparency, and professionalism for the company’s clients and partners.

2015–2022 – Modernization and Consolidation

In the following years, Donaris VIG continued to evolve by investing in digitalization, personalized services, and continuous team development. The company implemented modern solutions for policy management, customer communication, and claims settlement, adapting to the needs of an increasingly dynamic market.

2023 – Present

Today, Donaris Vienna Insurance Group is a major player in the general insurance market in the Republic of Moldova, offering a wide range of products: motor insurance (MTPL, CASCO), property, home, travel, health, accident insurance, etc.
