Green Card

The Green Card is an extension of the RCA insurance, required to drive outside the Republic of Moldova with a vehicle registered in Moldova. It functions as an international motor third-party liability insurance policy, recognized in all countries that are members of the "Green Card" system.

Who needs a Green Card?

√ Persons traveling with a vehicle registered in the Republic of Moldova outside the country’s borders;

√ It is mandatory when entering countries that are members of the Green Card system.

Green Card coverage zones: 
Zone 1: Ukraine 
Zone 3: All member countries of the Green Card system: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, France, Finland, United Kingdom, Greece, Hungary, Croatia, Italy, Ireland, Iceland, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Latvia, Malta, Norway, Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Albania, Andorra, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Israel, Iran, Morocco, Moldova, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine.

What does the Green Card insurance cover? 
Green Card insurance covers damages caused to other persons (third parties) as a result of a road accident: 

• Material damages caused to third parties;
• Bodily injuries or death;
• Medical expenses and related damages of persons affected by the accident. 

Advantage: No need for a separate policy in each country — the Green Card is internationally recognized.

Duration of the Green Card policy 
Can be issued for a flexible period, from 15 days up to 12 months, depending on the duration of the trip.
